Welcome to CG Asset Management

CGAM was founded by Peter Spiller and David Brazier in 2000 and commenced business in 2001. The Company was created to manage Capital Gearing Trust Plc which Peter Spiller had been managing for the previous 20 years whilst pursuing his career at Cazenove & Co. In 2001 the CG Portfolio Fund Ltd was issued and in 2004 the CG Portfolio Fund Plc Real Return Fund was brought to life.  2009 saw the launch of a second subsidiary fund to the CG Portfolio Fund Plc The Dollar Fund.  The firm currently has over £800 million under management and the principal activities of the Company are the management of four portfolios (one closed-end and three open-ended) with the objective of producing absolute returns through long term investment in bonds and equities. Two funds are entirely invested in overseas government index-linked bonds.

The Company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
